All resultsA league of their own
A pool league built entirely for women is changing the face of the sport in Chitungwiza. The Chitungwiza Women's Premier Pool League (CWPPL) gives women a structured, competitive home in a game long dominated by men's leagues in Zimbabwe.
The league was founded by passionate pool stakeholders who wanted women to compete, develop their skills, build confidence and lead, both on and off the table. It welcomes players of every background and ability, from beginners to experienced players.
CWPPL runs under its own 28-article Constitution and a 25-clause Code of Conduct. Together they cover how the league is run and how officials are elected, the standards expected of every player and official, gender equality, protection from harassment and gender-based violence, financial integrity, and clear disciplinary and appeals procedures.
"The Chitungwiza Women's Premier Pool League is a platform for empowerment, inclusion, and opportunity. We want every woman with a passion for pool to feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to reach her full potential."CWPPL leadership statement

How the league works
Every match is a best of six frames under Black Ball Rules, so a match can end in a win, a draw or a loss. Standings are decided by total points across the season.
A full round robin
Every registered player meets every other player across the season. With 36 players that is 630 matches over 35 match weeks, with results and the log published every week.
Match day
Start times are fixed. Arrive early for registration and warm-up. The order of matches is announced before play begins.
Host venues
The league rotates between approved host venues so every venue benefits and players experience different playing conditions. Each host venue has its own official CWPPL venue jersey, worn when playing there.
Ties on the log
Players level on points are separated by frame difference, then by frames won.
Player IDs
Every registered player receives a unique CWPPL player ID, for example CWPPL2601, used on fixtures, results and the log.
Subscriptions
Players contribute a monthly subscription of USD $5 to support the running of the league.
The Executive Committee
